Where does integrated transport fit in?

In their web site, NET state “More tram lines will allow travel across the Greater Nottingham Area by connecting with Line One, making the City and District Centres, jobs, leisure and services such as health facilities easier to get to for more and more people”.

Clearly, if CQD were developed, it would link to Line One. Thus vast numbers of people would have access to the massive jobs and retail opportunities on Queens Drive. There is nothing similar along the CW route.

ENT fully support integrated public transport. But, this should be carefully considered, cost-effective, environmentally friendly and should not be a drain on the ratepayers of Nottingham.

So far NET appear to have evaluated CQD on a stand-alone basis. However, it is imperative that CQD is evaluated as part of an integrated transport solution, bringing in the passengers from Line One.
