The BIG WHEEL is a credible and positive approach to bringing together the transport requirements for Nottingham and Nottinghamshire in the years to come.

It promotes that …'the City will only prosper if it is a pleasant place, where people can move around easily. A transport system is needed that will let us grow, while protecting our environment.'

It also states that… 'Interchanges will be built where road, meets rail and bus routes, allowing passengers to change between different types of transport.'

It will 'connect a circle of settlements, with homes, jobs and shops.'

NET is considered a key component of the 'BIG WHEEL' yet it has done little to meet the above by choosing the CW route as its preferred option.
