Hasn't NET provided the Councils with all the information for them
to decide on the best option?

The City council is, as yet, the only council to have approved the CW Route. This was only done on NET's recommendation and with little background information provided to the City councillors.

However, the County council to their credit, has not been coaxed into making this decision. Instead they requested that NET provide more in depth information and proof that the CW route is a justified and viable proposition.

Rushcliffe Borough Council's stance is currently against the CW Route option.

ENT has learned that the most important aspect, the full environmental impact report for the CW route, will not be made available in time for the County councillors meeting and their decision in the Autumn of 2003.

It seems unbelievable that after nearly two years and many millions of pounds already spent, this crucial environmental information will not be available from NET in time for key decisions to be made.

Surely this cannot be the proper and fair process of a publicly accountable body?
